Finding and maintaining hope can be one of the most difficult yet important things we can practice as Christians. Proverbs 17:22, A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. This coming from Solomon who was given the knowledge of God, a crushed spirit can come from many different things, but very often it comes from having no hope in life. What do we do when we are experiencing a total loss of hope? Turn to drugs, alcohol, other addictions? just to get by and survive another day in life, No, this isn’t what God promised us in the bible! John 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows] Amplified version. In abundance! until it overflows our friend and Lord Jesus says! We are not supposed to be walking around all down, broken and depressed in life, that isn’t what Jesus died for us to become! What we have to do is get with our councilor the holy spirit and discover where this lack of hope is coming from. Is it work, a relationship or lack there of, illness, lack of purpose in life. There are so many different reasons that we may lack hope. We need to isolate the issue and then attack it with scripture, prayer, praise and worship, thankfulness and belief. Here are some scriptures below that can help you restore your hope, the very same hope that Jesus wants us to have. Hope in Jesus and his unfailing word which will never change. The word of god is solid, powerful, steady, perfect and the most truthful that we will ever hear.
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
Romans 12:12
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.”
Romans 15:4
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”
